1. Water Bottles
Bringing your own water bottle instead of using a single - use plastic bottles is so good for the environment, and such an easy swap to make! Many people probably have some sort of reusable water bottle in their house, and definitely recommend you to make this swap!
2. Collecting Shower Water
This is something that I’ve recently started doing, and it’s super easy, and super helpful! Basically all you have to do is that every time you take a shower get a glass/jar/bucket whatever you have, and put it under the water when it first comes out of the shower. Leave the glass/jar/bucket under the water while you let it heat it up, and the glass will collect all the cold water, then remove it once the water is at a good temp. And save the water in the glass to water your plants! This is such a great habit to get into, because it saves so much water, instead of it going down the drain and being wasted, plus it feeds your plants!
3. Bring Your Own Bags!
Once again, a very easy and free zero waste swap you can make to help save the planet! I’m sure we have all gone to the grocery store and had all of our groceries either put into a single use plastic bag, or some reusable paper bag. Most of those bags get thrown out, but they actually can be reused multiple times (even the single - use plastic bags) and some grocery stores will even let you bring your own bag! So next time make sure to save your bag, and bring it whenever you go back!
4. Thrift! Or Buy Second Hand Clothes!
Every time that you buy clothes from thrift stores or you get them second hand, you aren’t supporting all the big fast fashion brands, and their cruel ethics. (Plus, it’s cheaper!) That’s why you should always try to thrift or buy second hand clothes!
I love this Mia! So proud of you. I am all for supporting sustainability and our Mother Earth. Thanks for these great tips 👍🏻
