How To Go Back To School Sustainably

Hi everyone! School is starting soon, and that means it;s time for school supply shopping! Every year, everyone always end up buying a ton of school supplies that barely ended up getting used! That’s why I wanted to write this post about how to go back to school sustainably! Here are a few steps: 

1. Use What You Have

The first thing you should always do is use what you have. Go through your house and find all the school supplies you already have, chances are you will find tons of random pens and pencils just lying around your house, and you probably have a few extra notebooks! There is no point in buying a ton of new supplies, when you may have most of it already at your house! 

1.  Ask Friends!

Next thing to do, is ask your friends and family, and see if they have any extra school supplies you can have, (I’m sure we all have that one friend that hoards pens and pencils!) 

1. Buy From The Most Sustainable Brands You Can

After you’ve done the first two steps, whatever supplies soyu weren’t able to buy, you know will have to buy, if you do have to buy supplies, always try to find the most eco - friendly and stustianbek brand there are. Here are a few that I like to use:

• Earth Hero - Is such an amazing brand! They’re like the sustainable amazon! All their products are all very sustainable, plus you can see all the certifications each of the products have (Ex. recycled packaging, vegan, etc..) And you can find sooo many different things on their site, not just school supplies, go check them out! (https://earthhero.com) 

• Decomposition - We all know the plain old Composition notebooks, but have you heard of Decomposition notebooks?! Their notebooks are made of 100% recycled paper, plus there covers are sooo cute! I absolutely recommend their brand! (https://decomposition.com)
